K. Flay/ Paper Route/ Daye Jack at the Delmar Hall - St. Louis, MO 2/11/17
It's Saturday night in St. Louis, MO and the weather is great (surprisingly) so what is there to do? You head out and check music at some of your favorite concert venues across the city. February 11th, 2017 at the Delmar Hall had its great share of music when k. flay rolled into town with opening acts Paper Route and Daye Jack.
Daye Jack hit the stage, I had never heard of Jack but it was obvious once he took center stage that he was ready to get the crowd warmed up for the nights festivities. Daye Jack was born in Nigeria but grew up in the burbs of Atlanta, there is where he started to come into his own as an artist and creator. Jack was a newcomer to St. Louis and the people in attendance embraced him with open arms. Jack won the crowd over with his most popular tunes like "Easy", "Raw", "Trapped In Love" and the infectious "Save My Soul". Overall Daye Jack had the crowd at the Delmar Hall swaying and moving, clinging to his every word, verse after verse.
Paper Route have been a band for a decade now and have recently made a splash in the music charts with 'Balconies', the bands current single from their most recent album Real Emotion. With such a diverse set of acts Paper Route stood out in the best possible ways! Paper Route took the stage at Delmar Hall for the very first time and from the start brought the energy to the newly constructed venue.
K. Flay hit the stage! The headliner of the night came to an eruption from the crowd. St. Louis was ready for the smart and witty verses from the singer/rapper. The crowd chanting and singing along to every verse, every chorus.
