Summer Show To Catch: Fitz & The Tantrums x Andy Grammer

Usually on Sundays you relax and wait for the week to start but this past Sunday Andy Grammer and Fitz & The Tantrums rolled into town (St. Louis) on a nice and breezy Sunday evening ready to give the crowd some much needed energy for the week.

With a fun and upbeat opener like Maggie Rose the audience in attendance patiently waited for co-headliner Andy Grammer to take the stage. Having never seen Grammer live I was in shock with the overflowing amount energy oozing out of him. From the minute he hit the stage he was like a jolt of energy to the senses and if you were expecting to sit and relax well he had other plans as his catchy hooks and foot tapping melodies had you on your feet and dancing. The transitions between songs is where Grammer grabs the audience with his gratitude and infectious smile as he genuinely looked happy performing for the St. Louis crowd. If you’re an Andy Grammer fan then you definitely left happy hearing classic jams like “Keep Your Head Up”, “Honey, I’m Good”, and one of my favorites that had the crowd singing along unapologetically was “Don’t Give Up On Me”.

After an energized set from Andy Grammer, Fitz & The Tantrums hit the stage and picked up right where Grammer left off. The group brought the energy and dancing vibes with fun choreographed moves between Michael Fitzpatrick and Noelle Scaggs. The show had everything from sax solos, dancing, and you can’t forget the classics! Songs like “Complicated”, “Sway” and my favorite “Out Of My League”. Much like Grammer, I had never seen Fitz & The Tantrums live and man was I missing out! Make sure to mark them as ones to watch when they’re back in town, they don’t just deliver on great music but a fun show for everyone.
